At the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company Headquarters, GPI was commissioned to create a backlit floor system at the main office entry on the 38th floor. The graphic content represents an oilfield map evoking the company’s mission. As a renovation project, there was minimal depth available in which to create an evenly illuminated glass flooring system, requiring tight integration of the structural build-up, lighting systems, diffusion strategy, and proper glass selection. The GPI Design was one of the final trades to install our work within an aggressive construction schedule to meet the deadline for a VIP event.
