A series of backlit onyx elevator cabs enlivens the entry sequence for the renovation of 680 Folsom Street in San Francisco. Embracing the natural variation of the onyx, each cab has a distinct veining pattern that creates a unique ambiance within that cab as the backlit onyx panels wrap from wall to ceiling. Meeting strict elevator safety requirements while maintaining a refined design aesthetic, this project was executed by GPI in conjunction with Mitsubishi Elevators.
