To create a soothing atmosphere for the hospital chapel at UT Southwestern Medical Center, RTKL envisioned a screen of illuminated alabaster panels. In keeping with that vision, GPI developed a wall system incorporating hand poured resin – a lightweight value alternative to real stone – evenly illuminated by custom Flat-Lite™ LED Panels within a minimal cavity depth. Framed in custom stainless steel trim, visitors are enveloped by the soft alabaster wall that defines the intimacy and delicacy of the space.
