A masterclass example of chic and impactful finish layering, the reception area of the Marriot Las Vegas is exactly that. A dynamic mix of abstract graphics coupled with a mirror backer and textured glass, panels of backlit stone take center stage in the foreground, illuminating the area with an ethereal mood and beckoning guests into the space. While the end result looks clean and simple and classic, the layering of multiple finishes came with inherent engineering challenges. Thoughtful consideration of all the components and how they would play off one another was essential to developing the system. And crafting details to highlight those finishes while still allowing for optimal lighting and maintenance access was key. A culmination of technical finesse and expressive art, the reception area stands as a prime example of GPI’s ability to bring a client’s vision to life.
This project came to life thanks to the collaboration with our talented partners at PWI Construction, Architects Houston Tyner and Lenny Hernandez, and the exceptional Interior Design Team at Looney & Associates. Special thanks to Project Managers Travis Unger and Brent Roosevelt along with Molly Hinde at Local Language for providing the exquisite art glass.
