The John and Frances Angelos Law Center at the University of Baltimore utilizes transparency , light, and glass materiality to express a sense of openness. Material and lighting shift as you move deeper into the building, becoming brighter and more transparent. In this lobby space devoid of boundaries, the illuminated elevator cabs are visible from all sides, creating a dynamic intrigue as the cabs traverse from floor to floor. Flat-Lite™ LED panels provide the main source of illumination in the cabs by wrapping seamlessly from wall to ceiling. Daylight, energy-efficient LED lighting, and material converge in an open expression of lobby as a space for connecting motion, communication, and knowledge in this educational building.
