Distinguishing the architectural entryway in the midst of the busy NYC sidewalks, a custom backlit glass entry portal beckons visitors to enter the office building at 114 W 47th Street. Framing the building entrance, the luminous portal looms over 25 feet in height, clad with recycled glass panels and illuminated with energy-efficient Flat-Lite™ LED Panels. Custom engineering accentuates the scale of this backlit feature; by eliminating shadow lines and maximizing edge-to-edge backlighting, the panels form an uninterrupted surface that transitions from wall to ceiling. Each face of the portal is individually controlled to adapt to changes in the ambient sunlight.
