Thursday Salute to Originals: Infinity Mirror Rooms
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to go up in Space? To be such a small being in our vast galaxy? Well, with the new exhibit coming to the Cleveland Museum of Art, you just might be able to feel what that is like…
CMA is proud to bring our city an Infinity Mirror Rooms installation this July! This is a new, immersive experience allowing visitors a once-in-a-lifetime feeling of infiniteness. One may begin to feel small and weightless as the mirror and light combinations before them seemingly begin to expand. It’s even been described simply as “endless reflection.”
But it gets even cooler. Japanese creator Yayoi Kusama is bringing not just one of her infinity rooms to CMA, but six of them! Each room holds up to 3 people at one time and features a different mirror and light experience – from polk-a-dots to pumpkins!
Today, we’re giving major salutes to Yayoi Kusama for her interactive user experience! We cannot wait to grab our own tickets for the exhibit and head to the Cleveland Museum of Art!
