Spanish native Okuda San Miguel is known for transforming properties around the globe as part of colorful public exhibits and murals. Through his latest work titled The Rainbow Embassy, Okuda is taking his public art to the U.S. in the once scarcely populated neighborhood of Fort Smith, Arkansas.

For this project, Okuda covered the exterior of a neglected house with painted geometric shapes. Some of the kaleidoscope-style color blocks form animal faces, adding a touch of kid-ish whimsy to the home’s exterior.

The property itself is located across from Darby Junior High School and adds a feeling of fun energy near the school.

“[I wanted to add] a touch of imagination and play into the daily lives of the neighboring community and students and Darby Junior High,” said Okuda in an interview with This is Colossal.
